Q. do I wash my face before my makeup appointment?
A. Yes, please! Wash your face with your regular cleanser (and a gentle exfoliator as well, if you have one!) Please DON’T use any serums or moisturizers post-cleansing. I have many in my kit for all skin types and I will hydrate you when you arrive.
Q. why do I need a professional makeup artist?
A. There are many reasons for hiring a professional makeup artist! You’ll have access to the top professional and luxury products in the beauty industry without having to purchase them yourself, you’ll look your very best not only in person, but also on camera. AND I’ll be able to relieve any stress that may come with having to do your own beauty routine. Who doesn’t enjoy sitting back and relaxing and getting PAMPERED on the day of their big event?! Let me spoil you and make you look and feel your very best!
Q. what is your makeup style?
A. Clients initially contact me because they like the client photos on my social media. I’m known for my before and after transformations and believe that Soft Glam would best suit the style of makeup I truly love doing! I love seamless, glowing, dewy and evened-out skin, defined eyes with false lashes, glossy pinky-nude lips and a well-groomed brow. I love contour and always say highlight is like frosting on a cupcake - the cupcake’s still good without it, but DAMN the frosting just takes it to the next level! I can fully customize for my babes wanting a more natural look and I also LOVE a good full glam moment if that’s also your jam! My goal is that you leave my chair feeling your absolute best.
Q. What products do you use in your kit?
A. I use a lot of different products, mostly high end, luxury brands from Sephora such as Hourglass Cosmetics, YSL Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury and DIOR to name just a few. Whether you’re interacting in person or on camera - I stock all high quality, professional, long-lasting products in my kit.
Q. how far in advance do I have to book a service or a wedding?
A. Please contact me via the contact form to inquire for any makeup services. I have very flexible scheduling and although I am busy and book up quickly, I can usually sneak you in somewhere on short notice. For weddings I am currently booking 1 year in advance. Q. what is the booking process for weddings?
A. Check me out on Instagram! This is where I post all my current work. If I feel like your vibe, please fill out the Bridal Makeup Application Form under the Bridal tab. You will hear back from me within 2 business days. Unfortunately I’m unable to accommodate every application, but I so appreciate your interest in working with me for your special day! If your application is accepted you will sign a contract and send that back to me along with your deposit. Your date is NOT booked until I receive both the deposit and signed contract.
Q. how do I pay?
A. I accept cash, e-transfer, PayPal and credit card. For bridal services I require all payments to be made from the bride only.
Q. for weddings, how do I prepare for the bridal makeup trial?
A. We’ll mutually decide on and book a trial date about 6-8 weeks leading up to the wedding.
Please refrain from wearing any makeup products on the day of the trial. Regular skincare routine is totally fine!
Wear a white/cream top, (tank top, bralette, v-neck tee or button down blouse) This is optimal for your trial if you plan to wear white/cream for the wedding.

Q. what should I expect on the day of the special event or wedding?
A. We will have discussed details via email and/or during your bridal trial. If I am coming on location, I always build in sufficient time to park and get set up, and I am always on time! You should expect a very chill, organized and fun makeup session.
Q. Do you do hair or know of anyone that does?
A. I currently offer simple hairstyling (such as curls, beach waves, simple braids and I also stock elastics and bobby pins) for regular non-bridal bookings. I don’t currently offer hair for brides but highly recommend local hairdresser @ashleighbagleyhair for your dreamy wedding hair needs.
